2009 Dual Qualifiers

The table list two-year-olds of 2008 with a Dosage Index (DI) of 4.00 or less and weighted on the Experimental Free Handicap within ten pounds of the highweight or named a foreign champion.  For the latter, only those nominated to the Triple Crown are included.  In recent years, as a result of changes in qualification rules, the Experimental Free Handicap has been less successful than previously in predicting classic performance.  This has led us to consider complementary approaches to identifying superior juvenile form.  The reader is directed to the article "The Concept of Dual Qualifiers" for clarification.
